@IC_Clara @alicekeeler Interesting. & when Hitler came to power he shut down Waldorf & Montessori Schools . . . not traditions#al schools. He could work with them. Hitler wasn’t threatened by people learning to read. He was threatened by people learning to think independently & critically.

@shiraleibowitz @alicekeeler Jefferson, Rush, & other founding fathers believed the purpose of education was to create a literate society. A literate society was less likely to succumb to tyranny.
