@ScotsPolFed @1919_mag What about the £175,000 figure for the cost of the SPF conference at Trump Turnberry...... How can this possibly be justified.

@BeeSurr @WalterWhite5564 @ScotsPolFed The only public sector to get more was NHS, we can't compete with their wage rise for obvious reasons. We run the risk of getting less and if it's not settled for pay in March, and it come in April, folks will be pushed into higher tax band. How's that going to go down with cops?

@shirl_79 @WalterWhite5564 @ScotsPolFed I’ll say this time and again - people who would’ve accepted the govt’s offer are akin to turkeys voting for Xmas. By accepting less than every other public sector, we’d be making a fool of ourselves. And each year we accept less, 3-5yrs time > £thousands worse off.

#NoStrikeFairPay Police Officers are protesting outside the Scottish Police Authority meeting this morning over our treatment over pay. Other public services have received 5.5%, which is what we are asking for. We are being offered 4.75%. The anger from colleagues is palpable.

@WalterWhite5564 @BeeSurr @ScotsPolFed We certainly won't end up better off that's for sure. You have to wonder what the vote would have been if they had gone to a ballot for officers to decide.

@BeeSurr @shirl_79 @ScotsPolFed This is the best single year pay deal I can remember. The problem is most members have zero confidence in the federation to get this deal done as there are no guarantees that we don't end up worse off.

@itsscience69 @ScotsPolFed The poor turnout just shows that the Feds are out of touch. As members we should have been consulted and told about the potential outcome of arbitration.

@ScotPoliceSupts If only the Federation had consulted with members they would have realised that overwhelming officers would have accepted 4.75% instead of arbitration and the potential outcome of that, which they are keeping quiet. So out of touch.

Colleagues - as 5pm approaches, please take cognisance of the advice within JCC Circular 11 of 2024 around the withdrawal of goodwill. It’s necessary to show the service and @scotgov that police officer goodwill cannot be taken for granted. spf.org.uk/jcc-circular-1…

@ScotsPolFed With very little traction and aupportfor this post, it shows how out of touch the Federation are with members. Why are we never consulted on matter that directly effect us. Is there guidline on what we should be consulted on and what decision are made on our behalf by strangers.

@happynotes29 @Power2Control @AP I totally appreciate the sentiment of marriage vows. However, we only have 1 life, and it is way too short and can be taken away in an instant, surely people deserve to be happy and if that is achieved by them separating then good luck to them.

@Power2Control @AP It may seem like a long time but the marriage vows say till death do we part, not till we get tired of each other or don't look attractive to each other anymore. Very sad to see so many people give up on what they once believed in...⚘️

@Joey7Barton Do you think women's football/sport has the same issues? Genuine question: If not, then why not? It seems like a lot of these addictions, sport and in life are heavily weighted towards men, why is that?

Football is riddled. Riddled with prescription medication addiction. Snus addiction. Gambling addiction. Sex addiction. Social media addiction. To name but a few. An epidemic of mental health issues. When you peer under the wizard’s curtain, there is a lot to be concerned about.

.@NadineDorries accuses Sunak & his political sec Forsyth of “duplicitously & cruelly” stopping her getting a peerage. Describes them as “privileged posh boys”: v unhelpful for a PM already attacked by Labour as being out of touch. Now this criticism coming from his own party
