Aspiring 10T$ economy without job creation, income, savings, lifestyle, Climate, water, air & greenery is highly stupid.
I have not seen a single nation which talks about this stupid metric except India. Many nations in Europe are not even 0.5T$ but give world class lifestyle.

It is a question of time, precisely till state elections are over. I expect a huge price increase in petrol, diesel, LPG, fertilisers and many essential items too. The increase in costs would ultimately be passed on to end customers. Fuel and gas impacts prices of so many things. If things continue like this, inflation would be out of control and interest rate would start to raise.
This is not to alarm you. I think all of us know what is coming.

@VishalBhargava5 Stay away from anything that is marketed as ‘luxury’. This is the most abused word in Indian real estate.

Why is India not a tourism superpower ?
1. Unsafe roads, no pavements, stray animals
2. Dirt, garbage, and lack of hygiene
3. Petty corruption
4. Traffic chaos
5. Poor global branding and perception management
6. Tourism stuck in state-level red tape
7. Pollution
8. No proper city or tourist site infrastructure
9. Inconsistent service standards
10.Biggest of all- lack of civic sense
We have everything- mountains, deserts, beaches, history, spirituality. Yet Malaysia, Turkey, Singapore, Thailand and even the UAE attract more tourists each year than we do.
So the issue isn’t what we have. It’s how we manage it.
Potential is not our problem. Execution is. 🇮🇳

Draft Tax Rules: Big Rise in Employee Perk Values
The Indian government has released draft Income Tax rules for 2026. These rules propose a sharp increase in the value of employee perquisites. Perquisites are extra job benefits like company cars, free meals, or gifts that count as part of your taxable salary.
Key changes include:
• Company Cars: If your employer provides a car for mixed use (work and personal), the monthly value jumps to Rs 5,000 (for small engines up to 1.6L) or Rs 7,000 (for larger engines), plus Rs 3,000 for a driver. This is almost triple the old rates of Rs 1,800-2,400 plus Rs 900 for driver.
• Free Meals: Tax-free limit per meal rises to Rs 200 from Rs 50, helping with office canteen costs.
• Gifts: You can now get up to Rs 15,000 worth of gifts from your employer tax-free each year, up from Rs 5,000.
• Other Perks: Rules also update values for housing, loans, and club memberships to match today’s costs.
This hike means employees might pay more tax on these benefits, as higher values add to taxable income. But some limits, like for gifts and meals, are more generous. Employers may need to adjust packages.
The rules aim to simplify taxes and update old limits. Public feedback is open until February 22, 2026. If passed, they start from April 1, 2026.
