@holisticgrenade Yes, I can acknowledge that I ought to try eating raw meat for two months, in the name of science. But it doesn't sound appealing in the least. I've tried raw eggs, though, and did not care for them.

@holisticgrenade Try eating only fruit (including non-sweet fruits like Cucumbers and Tomatoes) and different varieties of lettuce for two months, and see how you feel.

Saylor's fate is sealed. I think everyone knows that and it's just a question of when. But the mining companies are silently dying, and they are FAR more important to the ecosystem than Saylor is. Market can survive him, but not a 50%+ consolidation. Winter is coming.

#Bitcoin's hashrate has suffered a massive drop. Seems the failure of BTC to hold $95K finally did it and since January 24th the hashrate has been plummeting. It's dropped nearly 20% in just 2 weeks. BTC's security budget's gonna seriously suffer if the price doesn't bounce soon

I currently see two main scenario's play out on altcoins alongside my bearish expectational orderflow on BTC: Lots of altcoins have seen confirmed bullish breaks on the push up on the yearly open. I am not expecting these breaks to deliver higher lows and macro bullish reversals. Anyone that has watched my educational lectures on advanced range theory knows that the first bullish breaks after a prolonged downtrend are often the starting points of higher TF range creations --> where price will simply reverse the bullish move and sweep the low allowing for accumulation opportunities to develop. In combination with my BTC expectation this establishes scenario 1: Full reversal of the push up on yearly open allowing for range creation and HTF accumulation opportunities as BTC completes the final target of 74K. BTC completing the macro distribution with a confirmation of the HTF accumulation model on altcoins and we can see aggressive bullish expansion. Scenario 2: Scenario 1 can get invalidated if in the bearish expansion on BTC, altcoins dump aggressive and the 74K sweep is not aligned with a range deviation on the altcoin. Most altcoin pairs have HTF demand POI's around 30% below CMP. If we see a bearish expansion and price does not confirm an accumulation within the current potential range --> watch for a rotation towards HTF demand and trade new range/accumulation formations from there. Push lower, BTC completes macro bearish orderflow objective, altcoins hit demand --> accumulate --> bullish reversal. The pictures below are from the XLM chart but can get applied to most altcoins from a HTF perspective. Always remember, preparation is key.

@holisticgrenade You're making yourself look like an idiot by continuing to use the word "literally" incorrectly. Why are you so dead set upon doing that?

@ChartGuys That's a fundamental, not a technical, assessment. (But, Yogi Berra notwithstanding, I guarantee you nuclear EROI will never be ready for prime time.)

@ChartGuys Of course, I concur with Yogi Berra's remark about predicting the future. But if we use the surplus/deficit as a proxy for per capita energy availability...what would be your technical assessment of the long-term trend?

All I know is I was taught that exact same thing 11 years ago in college. We will see 🤷‍♂️ Different peak timelines: While the U.S. EIA still expects growth into 2026, other analysts see the peak occurring between 2025 and 2030, or even as late as the mid-2030s. Slow decline expected: After peaking, a significant decline is not anticipated to be sudden. Instead, production is expected to plateau and then slowly decline due to the large amount of resource remaining. Signs of slowdown: Some indicators, such as reduced rig counts and a rise in the gas-to-oil ratio, point to a maturing basin, but the impact of new technology has enabled production growth despite these signs. Overall U.S. production: The Permian's output has been a major driver of U.S. production growth, but declines in the Permian will likely be offset by production in other areas, keeping U.S. output stable.

@Beyond_Charting Permian extraction has apparently peaked. So, it doesn't look like demand will be met at any price. (Of course, I think that's why they did Covidworld -- to crash fertility rates with the injections, thereby softening overall demand.)

#portfolio #energy #strategy Here's my investing and positioning theme as we head into 2026. I hold mainly a mix of both #oilandgas and #renewableenergy positions. I think the "green transition" camp has it wrong. I'm in the business and believe I have a fair perspective. My take is that the world is in a phase of "energy addition" where new renewable sources are built on top of existing fossil fuels, rather than a "transition" that involves replacing one with the other. Global energy demand is rising faster than renewable energy can meet it, meaning fossil fuels are still growing to fill the gap
