On being a girl dad. As a man who enjoys lifting, hunting, wargames, etc., It's not uncommon for people to ask if I'm disappointed to be son'less. I'm perfectly content with the kids God has given me, but beyond that... Being a girl dad is awesome. In a world full of weak men & broken families, the opportunity to emulate for my daughters what a strong life & a God-honoring marriage looks like is my highest calling & greatest joy. My girls are kind, they are curious, they are strong, and whatever they do in life, they have the confidence that comes from knowing their dad is forever in their corner.

While watching Survivor w/ Mrs. Jack a player mentioned they live every day scared by the idea of death. It struck me that I couldn't relate to him at all. I have zero fear of death. Pain, seperation, sure. But as for death itself, there is no uncertainty for me. He is Risen.
