@zendadddy ai's not replacing designers, it's upgrading our toolkit. what's the most impactful thing you've built since making the switch?

Lots of talk about AI taking over design. I used to have AI-anxiety, now I have AI-excitement. The unlock for how much impact I can have as a designer is insane. No more time spending on storytelling decks, more time in prod making stuff happen. I barely use the traditional design tools anymore. I'm building all of my own stuff, custom to what I need and making updates daily. Need a Trello board? I'm making it in 5 seconds. Loom? Spin up a camera-capture feature. I always treated my side projects and day job as 2 separate things - one I could jump straight into code, the other I had to operate very differently to make things happen within corporate structures. No more. I haven't been this excited to build in years.

The other day @elonmusk acknowledged that he was wrong about @AnthropicAI about their lead in frontier AI models and @Spacex renting AI compute infrastructure for Claude is a great example of two AI giants professionally collaborating. That is take on de-escalation and win-win rather than negative fight.

Day 1. I've realized m a little late on this, even tho I've known it all along: marketing doesn't start when the product is ready, it starts when idea is. For days, I've been building quietly; telling myself I'd start sharing once things looked more polished. That changes today.

Wanted to do this since a very long time Introducing - Bangalore Paper Club A series of offline research gatherings, under The Research Room India. We're hosting the first edition this Thursday at Araku Indiranagar. Come over! and bring people with you. --- Obviously inspired by the YC Paper club, the idea is to meet researchers in real life, present papers, discuss interesting problem statements and work together on some of them. We'll be doing presentations, recording them and putting them on YouTube. I started "The Research Room India" community a while ago and it hit 500+ members recently. It's nice to see people interacting with each other over deep tech, taking feedback and also providing commentary to others. I met some really smart people through that, some of them joined my team at Conscious Engines as well. It was natural that we had to take the next step which is to bring such people together offline. Research as a topic is usually perceived as boring, too technical or nerdy. It may not be fully true. The idea is to add a little bit of glamour to research so atleast more people pick it up and find it interesting, hosting it Araku, one of the hottest venues in Bangalore is a step towards that direction haha.
