Part of the problem is that I’m not super involved in any fandom atm so there’s not much motivation to draw any particular character Now would probably be a good time to take on requests then so I can at least have something to work on

I’ve been so deep in theory and my workflow that the actual drawing ideas are just not flowing anymore hahaha

trying to take a break the past couple days and the workaholic guilt is pretty uncomfortable

if my goal was to "find a new process," then i succeeded, but i also lost track of the subject matter and composition. so moving forward, i have to decide what the overall focus of the drawing is in the planning stage and stick with it

something i really want is to incorporate painting techniques into my drawings but i’ll often overdo it, make it look bad, then restart or trash the drawing i don’t have a clear vision on what i want anymore either so i just have to fuck around and find out

On days that I skip my adhd meds I’m starting to feel like my “normal” when I was in school, which is definitely better than the past year. Nonetheless, the meds are still a massive improvement to daily function Brain work good, me work good, me happy 😋👍

Idk what other people call it but I’d call my last sketch a “standing composition”. Unlike my normal comps you can’t flub details and claim it’s for a natural look. If anything is weird the entire thing is ruined, which is why it’s so hard to get right
