As a Southampton fan, I can appreciate the emotion the manager has shown here — at least it demonstrates that he genuinely cares. I think Saints will have to accept whatever punishment is handed down, and as supporters we’ll need to do the same. I don’t believe the club gained any major advantage, but if the allegations are proven to be true, then it’s still wrong. We certainly wouldn’t be happy if another club did it to us. I understand why the Boro fans are frustrated, although their club hasn’t always been clean in the past either — I remember the situation in 1997 when they didn't fulfil a fixture because of a virus. Anyway, for now, we’ll just have to wait and see what happens and deal with it accordingly.
