to anyone who’s uncultured here’s how a zaghrouta sounds, which is clearly not yodeling. It’s a form of celebration preformed at weddings and moments of joy all around west asia and north africa learnt from many generations. calling it “weird” or brushing it off is disrespectful.

@GuyDecidue51287 as a csm fan i would argue the reze arc was better in terms of plot depth, character development & animation quality overall, but i guess its genre / style isn't made for everyone, which is why it didn't really appeal to oscar judges

@GuyDecidue51287 would argue with anyone that objectively kpdh is not the "best" animated movie of the year. probably just won because it has a lower viewing threshold & is made for a larger audience. plot's easy to follow and the songs are pretty good

@harumasasbunny honestly i think it's for profit. for zzz developers (i think hoyoverse in general) male players are believed to invest more in the game (gacha - and thus the high number of female charas & their reruns) but female players are seen as more likely to invest out of game (goods)
