ECU Head Coach Blake Harrell is the real deal. He went 5-1 in 2024 as the interim HC and 9-4 in 2025 in his first full season as HC. He kept the momentum going after the season by signing the BEST RECRUITING CLASS EVER In ECU History by AVG Recruit Ranking in 2026. The 85.29 AVG is 0.53 points higher than the 2025 class. The class is led by 3 star EDGE Terande Spencer from Rockingham NC. Spencer has the pass rushing abilities to compete for playing time this fall. 3 star DL Ethan Wilson is another big addition and 3 star LB Chad Fairchild is a tackling machine. An under the radar player to keep an eye on in the future is 3 star OT Ja'Vaughn Hargett. East Carolina is dealing with what a lot of #G6 teams are dealing with, their top players getting poached by #P4 teams but Coach Harrell is doing an excellent job bringing in talent that could develop into quality starters.
