Overtrading happens eventually with all-day chart watching. Too much screen time creates endless temptations. Most traders want more willpower when they really need less stimulation. The easiest path to discipline is changing your environment. Not being glued to the market all day is itself a real edge for most trading systems.

@Sumit35918470 That’s what worries me. I’ve checked for the usual signs no smoke, no loss of power, no unusual engine noise, and no noticeable drivability issues.

@shrini_murthy If it's leaking any compression on cylinder 3 because the piston rings are bad and eventually burning the engine oil. You can also check blow-by gas by removing the engine oil cap while running engine on. If it is so that's gonna be a complete engine overhaul

Disappointed with my Toyota Innova Crysta 2.4Z Automatic. The vehicle has run only 45,000 km and has been regularly serviced. After receiving repeated “Engine Oil Level Low” warnings, I left it at the service center for inspection. Now I’m being told that Cylinder 3 has a compression issue and that the engine may need to be removed for further diagnosis, potentially leading to a huge repair bill. For a vehicle known for reliability and durability, how can such a major engine issue occur at just 45,000 km? I expect Toyota to investigate this matter thoroughly and provide appropriate support rather than placing the entire burden on the customer. @Toyota_India Please clarify and assist.

@Kontay108 At this rate, the diagnosis is attracting more skepticism than the engine. Before opening up a Toyota diesel that’s done only 45,000 km, I’d like to be certain we’re fixing the problem and not searching for one.

@shrini_murthy This is the only post I've come across with a Toyota having an engine issue.. In India I don't know how they will treat you. But in Japan they would have first given a written apologize and probably a new engine.. Get well soon

@nsarathc That’s my concern as well. Other than the low oil level warning, there were no obvious signs of an engine problem. I’ll definitely explore a second opinion.

@shrini_murthy This is difficult to believe. To me, it appears like a wrong diagnosis. Especially when there are no evident symptoms of an engine issue. I suggest getting a diagnosis from a different service center, preferably under the review of a Toyota Service Engineer.

@Akveq_ @vmanjunath That’s the irony. People are clocking 7 lakh km+ in their Innovas, while I’m discussing an engine teardown at 45,000 km. 😅

@vmanjunath Fair point. Before approving an engine teardown, I want to be absolutely sure the diagnosis is accurate. Given how unusual this issue is at 45,000 km, a second opinion from a high-volume Toyota center may be worth considering.

@shrini_murthy Yes . Why I was suggesting this place is that the volume of Toyotas they handle is quite high so they maybe seeing more problems like this one - so having the correct diagnosis is the first priority.

Thank you for the suggestion. I’ve already escalated the issue and all service records are available in Toyota’s system. My concern is that if another dealership sees the same history and diagnosis, wouldn’t they arrive at the same conclusion? At this stage, I’m hoping for a deeper technical review and support from Toyota itself.

@shrini_murthy You need to mail the higher ups and escalate this issue. Currently; the plant manufacturing near Bidadi as Toyota Kirloskar is dedicated to Innova and Fortuner . If possible; try to get a second opinion from another Toyota dealership .

@vmanjunath That’s what makes this so surprising. The car is 5 years old but maintained like new, with no underbody damage or harsh usage. A major engine issue at just 45,000 km simply doesn’t add up.

Quite surprising; Toyota’s diesel engine is known for reliability and 45,000km is nothing for a car like an Innova. They have to ideally replace it . Any diesel engine that’s been regularly serviced like yours should be good enough for at least 100000 km . Was there any damage to the underbody of the car ? Such as a pot hole / deep rut or bump ? There can be damage to the oil injectors If the oil isn’t heated enough; it can give you the warning.

@JmTeamsuzuki @Toyota_India The cost isn’t the piston ring, it’s the fact that a Toyota engine needs to be opened at just 45,000 km. That’s the part that’s hard to digest.

@shrini_murthy Mostly it will be position ring which will cause these kind of problems. Surprised to see it caused you problem at 45k from @Toyota_India . Irony here is piston rings are not that costly but to change them you have to open the engine head for which labour will be on higher side.

@hagaonx Company executive says it’s a one-in-a-million issue. Looks like I won the wrong lottery at 45,000 km.

@BharathN440067 That’s why I’m surprised. A major engine issue at only 45,000 km on a regularly serviced Toyota doesn’t seem normal.

@shrini_murthy Extremely rare and strange. These motors tend to last 6-7lakh km with regular service- Speaking from personal experience. Just bad luck and Hope Toyota looks beyond warranties in this case.
