SH: live in the present, because the only thing that is real is the present i love reading shuhua's interviews so much, her words are always so profound and touching.. 🥺

but one day before filming began, the moment she woke up and opened her eyes, she suddenly cried. SH: because nothing affects my emotions anymore. no person, no situation. my emotions have always been flat, just... flat every day. if I’m like this, how am i supposed to act? at home, she tried practicing scenes by herself, but halfway through she suddenly panicked. SH: i don’t know how to love someone anymore. i don’t know how to feel upset or cry anymore. i don’t know how to hold onto these emotions… i forgot them all. later, through conversations with the people around her, she slowly opened up her heart again and came to understand that releasing emotions aren't a bad thing. the director told her to just “believe”, believe in every feeling the character experiences. she eventually found that ‘point,’ found an outlet for her emotions. SH: as an actor, you have to keep digging deeper into yourself, over and over again. at first i was scared of that, but after truly trying it, i realised there was nothing to be afraid of. (the things she must've gone through to get to a point like this.. my girl... 🥺🫳🏻

슈화가 연기를 시작하기 전 어느 날, 잠에서 깨어 눈을 뜬 순간 갑자기 눈물이 났었대 '아무것도, 어떤 사람이나 일도 제 감정에 영향을 주지 못했어요. 그래서 제 감정은 늘 평평했어요. 계속 이렇게 잔잔하기만 한 거예요. 그런데 문득 "이런 내가 어떻게 연기를 하지?"라는 생각이 들었어요.' '사람을 어떻게 사랑하는지도 모르겠고, 어떻게 슬퍼하고 어떻게 우는지도 모르겠고, 그런 감정들을 어떻게 느끼는지도 모르겠더라고요…… 그런 감정들을, 제가 다 잊어버린 것 같았어요.' 이후 주변 사람들과 대화하고 마음을 나누면서 조금씩 자신의 마음을 열게되고 감정을 드러내는 건 나쁜 일이 아니라는 걸 천천히 깨달았다구🥺 감독님이 슈화한테 '그냥 믿으세요.' 라고 했대 그 역할이 느끼는 모든 감정을 믿으라고.. "배우라는 건 계속 자기 안을 파고드는 일이더라고요. 계속해서 깊이 들여다봐야 해요. 처음엔 그게 조금 무서웠는데, 막상 진짜 해보니까 생각보다 무섭지 않았어요."
