This month marks the 41st anniversary of 𝑆𝑜𝑢𝑙 𝑀𝑖𝑛𝑖𝑛𝑔, THE THE’s landmark debut album. Released in October 1983, it fused post-punk, synth-pop and lyrical introspection into something entirely its own. From the euphoric ‘This Is the Day’ to the anthemic closer ‘Giant’, 𝑆𝑜𝑢𝑙 𝑀𝑖𝑛𝑖𝑛𝑔 still resonates all these years on.
