So proud of Ben today. For such a quiet and timid boy, playing this season has given him so much confidence and the chance to get to make new friends. To see him compete in his cup final today was ace and to save all 3 pens in the shoot out at the end was incredible 🏆@sianbinks1

@Teamgrassroots_ @Teamgrassroots_ @Manchester_FA similar thing happened at U7s game with very mouthy parents shouting abuse and swearing at the players. They are 6 and 7 year olds and play football because they love playing with their friends. People like this shouldn’t be allowed near!

RIP Poppy 😥 #1Minute4Poppy
The girl who was killed when a car crashed on to a pitch where she was playing football was a "force of nature", her family has said. Poppy Atkinson, 10, was fatally struck by the vehicle while attending a training session at Kendal Rugby Club in Cumbria on Wednesday evening.
Her family described her as the "focal point of their lives".
We encourage all teams nationwide to have a moments silence before games this weekend #1Minute4Poppy

@Teamgrassroots_ 2/2It’s as if the Dads/Grandads/Uncles that show up and yell instructions angrily at their sons don’t believe that actually a female coach/volunteer mum can do just as good a job with a lot more empathy and emotional support than any male coach can so please let us do just that
English

@Teamgrassroots_ Absolutely!! Well done to that mum! As an ex player at a relatively high level I’ve been subject to a lot of comments over the years about women and girls playing football. Now as a UEFA coach 15 years later, it’s still VERY prevalent. Especially at the younger age groups. 1/2
