What a shambolic mess at #wba no time for a complete reboot, so many players remain culpable & have for a long time, none of the ‘old boys club’ coaching staff have improved a single player in years bar Fellows, managers picked on data that those in charge can’t read. Send help

@chrislepkowski When is Ian Pearce going to be held responsible? Has the title Director of Football Operations - the one dept performing worse than any other - yet never speaks to the fans or press. Takes a huge salary, set for life, delivers utter dirge, stays in shadows. What a gig!

@henrywinter Excellent summary & fighting the England fans cause as always, pricing is bonkers though, this shows there is a limit to fans loyalty thankfully. Scandalous money laundering scheme from fifa as well 😳

If* England reach the World Cup final (if* etc), they will not sell out their official FA allocation. The cost of tickets in the most expensive two categories are putting off members of England Supporters Travel Club. There will be only 3,409 England fans present at MetLife Stadium on July 19 via the official FA allocation of 4,500. The two cheapest categories were oversubscribed by members. But the most expensive categories were undersubscribed, especially Cat 1 ($8,680) also Cat 2 ($5,575). Semi-final also undersubscribed. Of the official FA allocation of 3,500, only 2,686 taken up by members if* England reach the semi (members baulking at the most expensive tickets, Cat 1 $3,170 and Cat 2 $2,440). All England games up to and including the quarter-final are oversubscribed. "And we’re having to fork out for those tickets now (payments taken from 9-22 Feb)," one England fan says. "We get the money back later in the summer if England don’t get knock-out games we’ve paid for." #ENG 🦁🦁🦁

@NixonVictoria If I somehow even managed to scrape enough together for a ticket I think I’d be lucky to have 100 dollars left to sleep at yogi & boo boos in the jellystone park

@sibradbury @JPercyTelegraph It's an amazing bit of business. I'll take that all day long mate. Needed to get rid of the likes of him, Bartley etc who'd long since outstayed their welcome.

@seancalvert1 @JPercyTelegraph Solid champ defender of the Rory delap mould (but inferior), £3m profit on a 29 year old who was close to outstaying his welcome, gives us a younger squad & opportunity to reinvest

@blockyy23 @JPercyTelegraph That’s partly why you sadly got relegated then if he was. Yes Kipre did, but again it was a very low bar & had huge tendencies to switch off at crucial moments Good luck for the season

@sibradbury @JPercyTelegraph O’Shea mid championship at best? He was near enough our best player in the Prem. And didn’t Kipre win your player of the season in 23/24?

@sibradbury @JPercyTelegraph Kipre & Townsend both back ups. O’Shea HAS been promoted from this division before and Palmer is pretty solid. No idea about Furlong but could end up a back up as well

@man_savings Get a proper gait analysis done, usually FOC at decent running shops, then get a pair of trainers to suit your style of running (ie heel striking / neutral / on your toes etc) The right trainers are the most crucial part on the running journey otherwise it’ll end in injury

Honest Review Time 👟 I'm 48 years old. I've been sat in front of a computer eating rubbish for 10 years looking for deals and offers. And I'm carrying a few extra stone! A couple of month ago, i made the decision that i needed to get more active. So I joined a gym. Problem: I hadn’t owned running trainers in about 15 years (last time I ran was probably to beat the McDonald’s breakfast cut-off). I grabbed a pair of adidas New Yorks and hit the treadmill. Slowly at first, then week by week trying to increase distance and reduce times … but constant shin & calf pain made every session a real struggle 2 weeks ago, i invested in some of these adizero Aruku. (Half price obviously!) I'm not joking, the difference is ridiculous. Zero shin pain, a sole nearly 2 inches thick, and that curved design actually makes running (and walking) feel easier. If only they came with an extra lung for the breathing part 😅 If you fancy a pair, they’re currently 50% off in a bunch of colours - Link in comments

My rugby interest is extremely fickle at best, world cups, the odd bit of 6 nations, but something special about the lions series, unique set up & pride in contrast to the sterile professional age of sport

@andmrkipling @henrywinter Not sure on your maths with games inc var & offsides in England but it’s still 2 incidents too many either way, just flag when it’s obviously offside & it does not happen , it’s not that difficult

The Laws of the game are there to keep players safe. So the delayed offside flag has to be looked at again. It’s dangerous. IFAB should have listened to Nuno. When Nuno was managing Wolves, his keeper Rui Patricio suffered concussion at Molineux on March 15, 2021. Patricio collided with Conor Coady, defending against Mo Salah who was clearly offside, play allowed to go on. It’s not the assistant’s fault. It’s the Law’s fault. It's allowing the decision to be made by VAR. Nuno warned that night that “this won’t be the only time”. The authorities didn’t listen. And, sadly, he’s right. Nuno’s Forest striker Taiwo Awoniyi needed surgery on a serious abdominal injury after colliding with the post on Sunday. Leicester’s Facundo Buonanotte was also injured in the incident, competing for the ball. The move should never have got that far. Anthony Elanga was clearly offside as he ran through. Delayed flags lead to greater risk of injury. Assistants shouldn't be governed by VAR. Many assistants are exceptional at judging offsides in real time with their own eyes. If they feel it's clearly offside, then signal. Forget VAR. This wasn't marginal. It was clear offside. The authorities need to work more with (and listen to) assistants - and maybe tweak the Laws or issue new recommendations - before another player gets hurt.
