Lancaster Elementary YISD students learn that alphabetical order helps them build essential academic and life skills. It supports reading and writing, builds dictionary and reference skills. Develops organization and critical thinking. Strengthens phonics and alphabet knowledge.

Lancaster Elementary students understand the importance of digraphs and trigraphs. Instead of sounding out each letter, students learn to see them as one unit. This speeds up reading, improves rhythm, and reduces frustration. It helps build stronger phonics and decoding skills.
