Rohit retires from Tests. It was due. India's rank turners didnt help his cause as a Test batter, but from 2019 to 2022, Rohit seemed to find ways to emerge as the top 2 batters for India, once he was slotted in as an opener. One of his best knocks was the 163 in Chennai on a turner vs England. He did his best as an aggressive captain leading India to 2 WTC cycles finals. The 3rd cycle was marked with denial and it didnt end well. Having seen him in Australia on those devious pitches, it was clear that he had aged and didnt have the technique to play longer on tracks that had turn/movement.
