The actual mainstream opinion on JK Rowling can be imperfectly but reasonably gauged by how many kids wear HP costumes for World Book Day.

Opening Day is a treasure, but it belongs to local fans. Their figures, their culture, their traditions, and this Netflix production, which is ruining the on-field, in-stadium event, which would be a shame if it wasn’t the Giants. They deserve this mess.

At any event, none of this is Disney's fault. They thought they were just creating an American version of Tivoli Gardens (which I have been to and works fine as a park). They had no idea it would come to this.

Disney is a victim of its own success. The market clearing prices of its parks are probably, by this point, similar to the really expensive concert tickets everyone is complaining about. For obvious PR reasons they don't want to charge that. So they ration and customers complain.

I think the problem with Disney Parks isn’t the cost, per se (they have always been extremely expensive), it’s the obscene complexity of the experience (Lightning Pass, etc.) coupled with lousy bang for buck at F&B and Hotels.

@sideoutpar @MichaelMHanna i like him quite a bit as a person and i think you'll enjoy him as a character but he only does one thing: get shots. that he can't do anything else in the slightest is a big worry and even if he gets shots in the prem, i think he's only just worth what you paid.
