The Sabres are just lucky that Boston was sleeping the whole first period and couldn’t get anything going offensively and hit a few posts and that Lyon made some good saves actually and that they capitalized on a lot of their chances and they defended pretty well too honestly and that the PK was solid also and that they took the energy out of the crowd in a huge game. This is all just luck.

First season as a credentialed journalist for the #Blackhawks ✅ (long reflection incoming) It was a dream. I had highs and lows (as expected for a newbie), but I am so grateful for all I learned and will continue to learn. I can’t thank everyone enough. It’s appreciated more than you know. On the ice, I do believe that group is hungrier than even last offseason, and I am looking forward to seeing where that goes.
