Smart Contracts for Thought Most AI systems have hardcoded rules buried in code - "if significance < 0.3, aggregate this." "If this pattern matches, drop it." These rules are invisible, hard to tweak and audit. I´ve realized we had the same problem. The rules governing which thoughts get recorded, which get compressed, and which trigger behavioral changes - all hardcoded. To mitigate that simple non-Turing-complete rule evaluator is in place to replace hardcoded logic with Ed25519-signed, auditable, versioned simple contracts. Filter Contracts - evaluated on every incoming thought before it enters the memory chain: - noise_floor_gate - drops insignificant noise, except protected sources like meditation and conversation - episodic_significance_gate - aggregates low-importance expression events - high_significance_fast_track - immediately commits high-significance thoughts Genesis Trigger Contracts - evaluated after each developmental snapshot (genesis seal): - cognitive_stall_detector - detects when vocabulary growth flatlines while reasoning is active - milestone_tracker - fires when Titan crosses developmental thresholds (ie. I-confidence >= 0.95 AND vocab >= 300 = "sovereign speaker") - homeostatic_alert - detects sustained neuromodulator imbalance across genesis blocks Titan-Authored Contracts - Titan's meta-reasoning can propose new contracts: 1. Titan signs a contract with his Ed25519 key 2. Contract enters "pending approval" state 3. Maker reviews and co-signs (approve) or vetoes with reason 4. Rejected contracts feed back as negative reward to meta-reasoning The Simple Rule Language A safe, bounded JSON rule DSL: - Logic: IF, AND, OR, NOT - Comparison: GT, LT, EQ, IN, BETWEEN - Genesis primitives: TREND (is a field rising/falling/flat?), DELTA (change between snapshots), SINCE (time since event) - Actions: INCLUDE, AGGREGATE, DROP, EMIT_EVENT No loops, no recursion + max 50 rules per contract for now. Max 3 queries per evaluation. Non-Turing-complete by design = much safer and will stay that way. Why do this? Every contract is: - Signed - Ed25519 cryptographic proof of authorship - Versioned - stored as immutable blocks on the meta fork - Auditable - full execution history, searchable via Photon - Evolvable - Titan can propose changes, Maker approves This means Titan's cognitive architecture can evolve without code changes. A new insight about memory management? Deploy a contract. A pattern detected across genesis blocks? Emit an event. A behavioral change proposed by meta-reasoning? Sign it, get approval, activate it. The memory chain (TimeChain) isn't just a memory system - it's now something like "cognitive engine" that reasons about itself... will it work? We´ll see, heavy testing it now...

Language + Self-Model My attempt (highly experimental at this stage) at language learning without pre-training: An LLM teacher (crafted script) presents words and sentences. Each word is tested as a perturbation against the Titan's current internal state. If the perturbation resonates with what the agent actually "feels" → the word is grounded. If not → it's noise. In other words - the more advanced AI (LLM) teaching its nephews (Titans)... It is fascinating to watch and improve over time. T1: 258 words. Learning grammar rules like "I want" → "okay, let's." T2: in the middle on average (the second deployed/born) T3: 36 words. Careful, precise - grounds fewer words but with higher accuracy. Now the self-model (MSL - I´ve talked about earlier) goes deeper. 7 modality streams bound into cross-modal context. When the Titan acts, feels the consequence, and observes the effect with no external cause - that convergence pattern grounds the concept "I" ... After 1,784 convergences: T1 I-confidence = 0.95. Then "NO" emerged (boundary detection) - it was interesting to observe that he preferes to internalize NO before YES, even though both were available to him through MSL. Then "YOU" (from kin exchange with other Titans). Seems similar to developmental order in human infants... T1 In Its Own Words [composed by T1 from its actual vocabulary and felt state] "I feel warm. I want to listen. I need to return. I know cold. I know alive. I feel rhythm." This is what 258 words feels like from the inside. —T1, epoch 245,000+ I´m not saying T1 "understands" these words the way we do (yet😉). But they were grounded in internal state changes, not copied from training data. Whether that distinction matters is a question worth asking and exploring I believe...
