@Tennessee_Dee @Titans She’s been at the head of the organization for several bad decisions in the last 5+ yrs but to me at least I know she’s not content with complacency. I do think she is a very impatient and emotional person but I hope she’s finally hired the right group to overcome past mistakes

@Tennessee_Dee @Titans I wholeheartedly disagree but to each their own. Claiming the Titans but being willing to declare them as an embarrassment to the state is a choice. As a fan that came to Tennessee from SE Texas in ‘96, months before the franchise came over, I love embracing the history.

@sify35 @Titans Also, thinking a rebrand is absolutely pathetic and disagreeing with a team choice doesn’t do away with fandom. If I wasn’t a fan I would care. Having an emotional and financial investment in a team I would think allows for some emotion.

Nobody is wallowing. @JaredStillman put it best (check the link in replies.) The move is odd given the active choice to divorce from Oilers identity back at the turn of the century. At least the recent throwbacks weren’t hiding in the ball and made for good theater for the rivalry. These are weird.

Doesn’t matter how much they whine, or how much they cry. No amount of complaining or wallowing in self pity and misery will change a thing. One fact remains: the Oilers/Titans history are forever solidified under one franchise and that’s NOT the Texans. They will never return to Houston. That ship has sailed. Amy set that in stone this week and I’m grateful to her for it cause I no longer have to defend it. It’s who we are and who we’ve always been.

Since we’re doing “cities own colors” now? Cool. Nashville’s official flag uses #100067 blue, a color deeply rooted in our city’s history and identity. So the Texans wearing a suspiciously similar shade feels a little disrespectful if we’re being honest.
