Today marks Khalistan Declaration Day (ਖਾਲਿਸਤਾਨ ਐਲਾਨਨਾਮਾ ਦਿਵਸ) 🙏🏽 29th April 1986 - Sri Akal Takhat Sahib (29 ਅਪ੍ਰੈਲ 1986 ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਕਾਲ ਤਖਤ ਸਾਹਿਬ) 🙏🏽 The Sarbat Khalsa on 26 January 1986 appointed and inaugurated a 5 member Panthic Committee to make decisions on behalf of the Sikh Nation. The committee later went on to declare Khalistan on April 29, 1986. The Panthic Committee unanimously made the Declaration of Khalistan at Sri Akal Takhat Sahib. LIVE: At Birmingham Crown Court today at the sentencing of racist rapist John Ashby, who in Oct 25 attacked and raped a young Sikh women in her own home in Walsall. Our young sister was in court today and confronted her attacker with such courage and strength that it had an emotional and moving impact on all in court and the Judge! In passing sentence of LIFE IMPRISONMENT to Ashby he sited the planning, religiously aggravated and violent nature of the attack and the invasion of her home to commit such a heinous attack! A small sense of relief of justice for our sister, but nothing will erase the trauma of the abuse and life changing experience. Our thoughts and prayers remain with her and her family and may Waheguru grant her all the strength and faith to move on and be an inspiration to the community.

🚨Pakistan’s Punjab government is restoring and reopening 50+ historic gurdwaras, welcoming Sikh pilgrims and investing in their heritage and access. At the same time, concerns are rising about Indian propaganda and Hindutva-aligned narratives attempting to shape Sikh sentiment, turn Sikhs against Pakistan, and limit connections to their history and sacred sites. The Kartarpur Sahib Corridor remains suspended from the Indian side since May 2025, while Pakistan continues to keep its doors open.
