The full scene. The first fragment is a deleted scene from Mothra vs. Godzilla because in the movie the scene cuts away right before it, footage from Gargantuas, alternate takes from The Mysterians, Invasion of Astro-Monster and a still frame shot for MvG that's not in the movie.

Crazy story. I mirrored this shot from Terror of Mechagodzilla because in the film it's "backwards." It's supposedly stock footage from The Mysterians but this shot isn't in that movie it's an unused take. Also 2nd from the left Haruo Nakajima's character. I'm serious cont. below

Some highlights from the spider pit sequence in The Black Scorpion (1957). After 24 years Willis O'Brien finally completed a scene he envisioned for the original King Kong. The worm and the trapdoor spider are the same ones O'Brien used in the lost spider pit scene in 1933.

I felt it was the right time for another rewatch. The Black Scorpion (1957) is another collaboration between Willis O'Brien and Pete Peterson. It's one of the most brutal Western monster movies of the 1950s. I's mostly known for those drooling scorpion heads but I don't mind them

Some of that brutality. The scorpions attacking a train to feed on people and rip them apart. This is also the best scene to spot the differences between the head of the stop motion model and that huge prop they wanted us to see over and over.
