The Ghanaian government wants Russian man who shared intimate videos of multiple women extradited back to the country and charged in court. “It’s a crime to record a person without their consent.” It is also offering the women counselling and legal support. What’s Kenya doing?

COURT CONVICTS AND SENTENCES A POLICE INSPECTOR TO A TWO-YEAR JAIL TERM FOR BRIBERY The Officer-in-Charge of Zimmerman Police Post in Kasarani Division, who was facing corruption charges, has been sentenced to two one-year consecutive jail terms or pay a cumulative fine of Kes650,000. Appearing before Hon. Isabella Baraza at the Milimani Anti-Corruption Court today, Police Inspector Susan Wambui Muiruri was sentenced to a fine of Kes300,000 in count 1 or to serve one-year imprisonment in default. She was also sentenced to similar terms in Count 2, and a mandatory fine of Kes50,000. The Police Officer was charged with illegally detaining suspects at the Police Post. Investigations revealed that she requested a bribe of Kes10,000 to facilitate negotiations between the complainant and the suspect who had been arrested and detained at the Police Post and had been forced to pay Kes150,000 without justifiable reasons by the officer. EACC continues to urge all public officials to recognize that they hold their respective offices in trust for the people. As such, they should desist from corrupt practices including demanding, soliciting, receiving or accepting bribes. Corruption, whether petty or grand, hurts the public and impedes national prosperity in many ways. It leads to a high cost of living, breakdown of the rule of law, poor infrastructure (roads, water, hospitals), high levels of unemployment, and delay or denial of justice.

It's officially Election Day in America. If Kamala wins these elections, President William Ruto might win the 2027 elections, too. Who is for Africa, Trump, or Kamala? #USElection2024
