So Clancy’s citizen ID is 15398642_14 just like the violation code, which corresponds to the tracks on the cover of Blurryface. Does this mean Clancy’s identity is actually Blurryface? It doesn’t sound like we’re getting a happy ending to the story.

hihi there's been a lot of talk about drag path being teased all the way back in 2016 and i just wanted to say i don't think that's true. going back to the ers episode the clip is from, the credits show the music was made by sombear (and my goat)

@jimbocius Even if that’s true, the director of “Out of the Woods” said that Tyler told him he was a long time fan of the film. That paired with the parallels from the video and lore make it possible that “Out of the Woods” inspired the lore. Why else would Tyler use a random vid from 2010

@sipa_caprisun I think “Out of the Woods” was indeed an epilogue to the lore. I believe that it inspired Tyler to create the lore, and now he’s sharing that video with us and giving the original director the exposure he deserves

ℹ️ | apparently, the song used in the original “Out Of A Forest” short film, “Slow Show” by The National was interpolated into Drag Path. the reversed bit you hear at the beginning of Drag Path is the ending of Slow Show, but reversed.

All of this said, I believe that Tyler saw “Out of a Forest” when he was young, which inspired the concept of Clancy vs Blurryface. “Out of the Woods” is the original Drag Path that started it all. This IS the epilogue we all wanted. They just showed us what started the lore

@connorkief_ @clikkiescrave They would’ve had to hear it before 2015 for this theory to be true. I just brought up 2016 because that’s the absolute latest they could’ve seen it, making it very possible they did see it prior to writing Blurryface or developing the story
