1/The strongest evidence is Kamala lost because of inflation. Didn’t matter that inflation was worldwide and an effect of the pandemic, that it had come down, or that Trump has no real policies to deal with, it or that what he has proposed like tariffs will likely worsen it.

@leoniehaimson I think this sort of difference of understanding is fundamental to explain the disconnect between government and workers. Saying inflation is down is like saying “we’re punching you less hard! Please clap”

@leoniehaimson Can we say “cost of living” instead of inflation? When inflation decreases, cost of living continues to increase.

I saw some video that described voting as choosing which enemy you’d like to have for the next four years and I think that’s the best way to view this election

20 years ago we released Grand Theft Auto - San Andreas. The original plan was for the 3 cities to be on separate maps. The player would travel between the cities using trains and planes. (Gta 1 and 2 also had three cities on separate maps) Memory was very tight on the ps2 and with separate maps, the other cities’ skyline models wouldn’t have to be in memory. It would also make it easier to have different police/ambulance/firetrucks for each city. Different pickups, weather types etc. It would also be easier to contain the player until it was time for the next city. It would also make it easier to organize the models on the DVD city-by-city which would help the streaming. Just before the artists started working on the three maps, we had a final meeting at R* North in which we changed our minds and decided to go for a big map after all. We still ended up doing city-specific pickups, police cars and weather. Happy birthday San Andreas. You turned out all right.

I always liked Sleggar around the white base crew, they already have such Retail Worker energy and he adds to the vibe by being the One Adult Coworker around a crew of mostly teenagers. I just see them in a lineup and it looks correct

@mobilesuitmia Sleggar is the 20yo on his seventh year of high school.

Whenever someone gets mad and wants a manager, they automatically look at Sleggar bc he's the tallest and oldest one there and he's just like "lol nope" and vanishes into the back
