@BrandonWealth I think growth ETFs are better when the market is strong & feels like it will be strong for a while. I’ve been adding more high dividend yield ETFs recently as I fear strength may drop soon. I’m still very heavily leaning growth. Will move to income closer to retirement.

Honest question for fellow investors: I’m 33 with a pretty modest income, so for the last 9 months I’ve been focused heavily on high-income ETFs. Every dividend gets reinvested to keep the snowball growing. But lately I have been wondering… Do I keep riding the reliable income strategy, or start adding more growth ETFs for bigger long-term upside? What would you do in my position?

@RobertCaliCEO Leagues want their big clubs to win. They believe it makes their league, through the big clubs, more marketable. It is simple and basic PR.

Every season it’s the same conspiracy chat 😭 Refs, SFA, corruption, favours for Celtic… But nobody can ever explain WHY Celtic would be the chosen club. Why not Rangers? Why not Hearts? What’s the actual motive supposed to be here? Or is it just easier than admitting Celtic are usually the better side?

@Carl_Cox @matoxley Great story Carl. However, Charlie boy wouldn't employ a black person in his household and I'm pretty sure he and his ancestors will have 'owned' quite a few black slaves in the not too distant pass. Still, kudos to you for your achievements.

Full circle moment. 🙏 Yesterday I visited King Charles at Buckingham Palace for a special event celebrating the 50th anniversary of The King's Trust. At 24, The Prince's Trust gave me £1,000 which I used to buy my first DJ equipment. The big decision back then was whether to take £500 a week as a scaffolder or £60 a week as a self-employed DJ. I chose the music, and that was that ….the rest you know. To come back all these years later, celebrating the Trust that helped me take those first steps and meeting King Charles at Buckingham Palace… that was something truly special. What a beautiful day. ✊🎶

I hope this isn’t true. There are times when it’s more important to put country before party. This is one of them. Burnham’s longstanding commitment to a fairer voting system could transform our democracy & counter dire threat of a Reform UK government theguardian.com/politics/2026/…

78 years ago, 800,000 Palestinians were expelled from their homes. Britain made it possible. Today, Israel is committing genocide in Gaza. Britain made it possible. 78 years of the Nakba - and 78 years of British complicity in crimes against the Palestinian people.

My hope is that Keir Starmer, Wes Streeting, Angela Rayner and all those who have caused this shit show within the Labour Party all lose their seats at the next election. And Andy Burnham too, if he finds a seat. As a member of the party, I’m absolutely sick of them all.

🚨🎙️ Thierry Henry on FIFA turning the World Cup Final into a Super Bowl circus: “Football is losing its soul little by little. A World Cup Final is supposed to be the purest form of football, pressure, intensity, emotion, tactics, suffering, history. Not a halftime concert made for social media clips and celebrities in vip seats. When you play at the highest level, your body is programmed around rhythm. Fifteen minutes. That’s what every footballer in the world has known since childhood. Your muscles stay warm, your concentration stays locked in, your emotions stay alive. Now imagine players sitting there for 25 minutes during the biggest game of their lives because FIFA wants a bigger TV spectacle. People think footballers are robots. They are not. Momentum is real. If one team is dominating before halftime, that long break can completely kill the intensity of the game. It changes everything tactically and mentally. You cool down physically, you lose adrenaline, and then people expect players to immediately return playing at 100 miles per hour. And let’s be honest here, this is not about football, it’s about money and entertainment. They want football to become the Super Bowl. More commercials, more performances, more headlines, more celebrities. But football became the biggest sport in the world without all of that. The game itself was enough. The dangerous part is that if the final quality drops or players get injured because of these changes, fans will attack the players first. They will say certain stars disappeared in the second half or failed under pressure, without understanding the conditions were completely changed for a television show. For me, the World Cup Final should feel sacred. Ninety minutes of war between the best players on earth. Not a pause long enough for the world to forget the match is even happening.”
