We're saddened to hear about the recent uncovering of more than 160 unmarked graves at the former site of the Kuper Island Residential School in BC. These tragedies weigh heavy on the hearts of all Canadians & we continue to stand with Indigenous Peoples in this time of mourning.

The horrible news from Saskatchewan is another reminder of the genocide enacted through the Residential School System. Our thoughts are with Indigenous Peoples & Cowessess First Nation as they mourn the 751 people in unmarked graves at the Marieval Indian Residential School site.
