@thebeirutbanyan LF wasn't a Militia, choose your words very carefully, LF was a resistance that fought strangers like Palestinians Militia and Old Syrian Regime Forces and their allies against The State. LF was the resistance and without it there would be no Lebanon.

Pierre Moawad was a former LF militiaman. He turned the page with disarmament & saluted Samir Geagea’s decision despite punishment under Syrian occupation. He believed in power-sharing & above all defended the state. He was the example to follow. The exact opposite of Hezbollah.

In appreciation of the role of Lebanese expatriates and their continued contribution to supporting their homeland, and as an expression of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ commitment to their concerns and needs, I issued, in cooperation with the Minister of Finance, a circular reducing biometric passport fees by 50 percent. The circular also exempts all fees related to the processing, registration, and certification of death documents and all procedures connected to the transfer of remains to Lebanon, and fully waives fees for the certification of school records and certificates. I will remain faithful to the commitment I have made to continue the path I have begun to improve the work of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and modernize its services, for the benefit of Lebanon and the Lebanese people wherever they are.
