For anyone I know in the UK, trying to help someone reunite with an important lost item

@PFLerner When I was a developer we had meetups within my company or open to other companies to share projects we were working on, get feedback, etc. They were local (no air travel) and casual (demos of work in progress, all experience levels). Perhaps that would work in person or virtual?

I know traveling to conferences and to give talks is wasteful & environmentally indefensible but it's just occurring to me that one reason I'm struggling with this project is I've barely had a chance to share my work in 2 years.

@AustenAngell Honestly I was so distracted by the bare chest and face that I didn’t notice.

Not sure which offended me more, that the guy whipped off his shirt to try on another and was half naked in the middle of old Navy or that he removed his mask to do that deed.

@PFLerner As an outsider (not an educator and already went to grad school) this conversation is reminding me of the Giver where the “right” people and “right amount” of people are doing each job.

Went to my first Zoom wedding this morning and now I think I have completed the cycle of life challenge: Zoom baby namings, bar/bat mitzvahs, weddings & lots of funerals/memorial services. Do I get a prize for this?

@PFLerner I think we’ve all learned a lot about fascism these past few months, or perhaps not enough.

Kid: What's for breakfast? Me: The process by which Britain leaves the EU [launching into lecture about Brexit.] Kid: No, what are you making for breakfast?

Between Trump’s penchant for firing his staff, and Covid spread from their refusal to wear masks and properly distance, there might not be many Trumpians to clear out come January.

I love Kamala, but the clear winner of tonight’s debate was the fly on Pence’s head for quietly sniffing out the biggest source of BS in the room (from behind plexiglass!!) and then escaping before anyone could rebuff his point.

@MyLA311 my friend’s water is being shut off for a day by @LADWP. Their building was given two days notice. Is this legal during Covid 19? Where are they supposed to go with safe access to restroom facilities for the day?
