Honoured to have connected w/ Dr. Kannin Osei-Tutu and hear him speak at the @CFMSFEMC SGM. His talk on becoming an anti-racist leader was incredibly insightful, especially regarding actively identifying, preventing, and reducing racially inequitable outcomes and power imbalances

In a mosque my family regularly attends, Omar Mosque in Paterson NJ- someone came in and stabbed the imam AS HE WAS LEADING FAJR PRAYER. The viciousness to attack someone when they’re vulnerable and quite literally submitting to God is beyond comprehension.

It's been an exciting month! I had the honour of presenting at the @MUNMed Research Forum & CoAMS conference! Both of my projects focused on advocacy for underserved communities. Proud to say I won "most representative of conference theme" for my cultural sensitivity research!

March was a rough mental health month for me. No tangible reason, I'm just tired/burnt out and I'm working on accepting the highs and lows and being transparent about both. To med students feeling the same, you aren't alone & we got this ❤️
