I built a Claude Code notification system that uses Warcraft III Peon voice lines. It's probably the stupidest thing I've ever shipped. And according to everybody that has used it, it's also incredibly useful. (sound on)

This year's Now Go Build Award goes to Raphael Quisumbing @RaphaelFra20009—a true "renaissance developer." He builds communities, mentors others, and translates tech into real solutions. Kudos to all 265 AWS Heroes across 58 countries leading the way. Now, go build!

After almost 11 years, it's time for a new organization team to take over the @JSBelgrade meetup. The journey started in December 2014, when @ispijac_kafe and I decided to organize our first JavaScript meetup and start the first (as far as I know) JavaScript meetup group in Belgrade. Even in the first meetup, we met some awesome people who quickly became friends, including @simalexan (who also became our coorganizer), @dejan_dimic, and several others. Everything went smoothly until covid. We had many monthly meetups (with amazing speakers, the list would be too long), countless Coffeejs meetups, and some great free workshops. We met many awesome people. And, I personally learned a lot! However, after covid, many things changed, and with our limited free time, the meetup was no longer a priority. We organized a few events, just to keep it alive. And then, last year, @simalexan and I met Ilija. He just started the Belgradejs meetup group, and we recognized the enthusiasm and passion we had when we started the JS Belgrade meetup. In the next year and a half, Ilija and his coorganizers, Sanel and Nikola, organized many other great events. We even organized one together in April. Finally, a few months ago, @simalexan and I sat down with Ilija, Sanel, and Nikola and agreed to merge our meetup groups. They'll continue as the main JS Belgrade organizers, and we'll help with everything we can. I hope this marks the start of the next 10 years of JS Belgrade meetup, with many, many more events, workshops, and amazing people, of course. Btw, join us on Thursday to meet the new organizing team: meetup.com/js-belgrade-me… Also, if you want to speak at one of our future meetups, let us know!

@simalexan Thanks! Seemed an insane idea when I started but every step has been surprisingly more feasible than I initially thought.

CAD shouldn't be locked behind a $2000/yr license. It should also be code-first so LLMs can be used to rapidly develop complex models. Still early, but this is coming together much more quickly than I expected.

To mark #AWS Lambda's 10th anniversary, I'm sharing the internal PR/FAQ doc that launched it. It's a rare glimpse into the customer challenges we observed at the time and our vision for serverless computing back in the 2010s. Read it here: allthingsdistributed.com/2024/11/aws-la…

I'm super excited to finally announce AWS AppSync Events - a new feature that lets you easily build real-time experiences with WebSocket APIs! 🚀 No more worrying about WebSocket infrastructure or scaling. Just create your API and publish events.
