From 2027, Zimbabwe will require every school without exception to register its learners for ZIMSEC examinations. The era of parallel foreign examination systems operating outside our national framework is over. It's mandatory for all students to write ZIMSEC. However, schools wishing to offer both ZIMSEC and Cambridge should apply for permission to do so provided there is justification for it.
This is not an attack on academic excellence. We are not banning Cambridge examinations .This is an assertion of national sovereignty over our own Education System. Zimbabwe's children deserve to be assessed on a common, uniform standard one that this government controls, benchmarks, and continuously improves. For too long, a two-tier system has told some children that their futures are validated in Cambridge and told others that ZIMSEC is somehow second best. That ends now.
Private institutions operating on Zimbabwean soil have a clear directive: align with the national framework.
This is not negotiable. Government policy is unambiguous comply or fall out of step with the direction this Republic is moving. We are building one education system. One standard. One Zimbabwe. Every child regardless of the school they attend or the uniform they wear deserves equal recognition under a national framework that belongs to all of us.All School Kids are the same.

#dandarostreets Zimbabwe will require all schools to register learners for ZIMSEC examinations starting in 2027, ending the use of parallel foreign exam systems.
Primary and Secondary Education Minister Torerayi Moyo says the move aims to enforce uniform standards and strengthen oversight across the education sector.
Private institutions now face a clear directive to comply with the national framework or risk falling out of step with government policy.

A TEACHER at a local primary school, who caressed and kissed a pupil, exposed his manhood to another pupil and then showed pornographic material to another kid, will spend the next TWELVE months in jail.
All the kids were in his Grade Five class.

@begottensun Calling out violence and injustice is valid, but reducing an entire country to insults helps no one. People are suffering, and that’s exactly why serious issues should be discussed with empathy, facts, and accountability not mockery or blanket condemnation.

Bellarmine is a very lucky young man such that today he gets another chance at life. He should indeed be thankful because ED has been very generous to their family after all that he endured at their hands.
The current administration has ignored how they still have multiple farms, some which are leased out, despite the policy position for One Man One Farm and still the boys have failed to utilise that advantage.
Personally, he insulted the same President and went to stay in SA but today he is back home again. Any other wise young man would change his behaviour for he has continually exhibited shameful behaviour.
The other brother has been involved in drugs and it's staggering considering the legacy which their father left them. Mugabe is an African icon and his legacy deserves better behaviour from these boys.
The violence and erratic behaviour should stop. Tofanira kubika doro kumusha kwanaGushungo because mhepo dzacho dzawandisa.

Having commented on VP Chiwenga's Hezekiah video, it's strange how criticising President Mnangagwa can be palatable and even accepted, and yet the same for Vice President Chiwenga is deemed kufarisa? Politics hadzisi dzekutyisidzirana and an unwarranted attack on the President is an attack on the nation! We can't allow that.
The VP has literally been undermining both his superior and the party he belongs to, and he should be called out for it. I must reiterate my stance: defending the President against such insidious acts is a matter of principle. Were the tables turned and VP Chiwenga were the one in the presidency, I would equally spring to his defence against any similar subversive actions. There are platforms and ways of venting one's grievances at that level instead of grandstanding.
If left unchecked, his current manoeuvres could sow dangerous seeds of discontent that could destabilise the party in the future.
Politically, while social media has clapped hands for him, ED has managed to remain calm and diplomatic, focusing on the angles and areas that matter. That’s political nous, which the VP is betraying himself as lacking.
It’s no wonder that the very base upon which the VP could have built upon to engineer his way to power one day has been slowly but effectively decimated, even as his social media gravitas appears to be flaring up. It’s because he is focusing on the wrong political constituency!
It's almost like a reincarnation of Chamisa, all words, verses and social media coronations, and yet structurally vulnerable as to be impotent politically!
ZANU PF as a party remains the only viable instrument for assumption of power, and yet his actions, undermining the very same party, are an act of self-condemnation. The party is the water to the fish that he is, and his actions amount to thrashing all the water out.
You can’t speak and act to please the opposition constituency and yet hope to ride to power on the back of internal support.
Even more damning today, he is effectively operating within a controlled environment despite the veneer of potency which his words attempt to convey. Some have dared ZANU-PF to fire him, and yet that would be a mistake in that he will now be operating outside a controlled context.
Many in the party also have aspirations for the top seat, yet they never recklessly throw around their military or liberation war weight as an entitlement to the seat. A genius politician simply builds a support base, canvassing for support in the normal and recognised way, without undermining his superior and destabilising the whole party.

#dandarostreets A Zimbabwean man who had relocated to New Zealand in search of a better life has died following a tragic crash, leaving his family facing the painful task of bringing his body back home.
The grieving family is now appealing for assistance, with an estimated US$20,000 needed to repatriate his remains to Zimbabwe for burial.
