Environment Canada has issued a cold warning (yellow) for our area this weekend. Temperatures are expected to reach -30 to -35 with windchill. Extreme Cold can put everyone at risk. Cover up. Frostbite can develop within minutes on exposed skin, especially with wind chill.

We are in for some very cold temperatures this weekend which can cause frostbite if skin is exposed for too long. Stay safe in cold weather. Wear warm clothing and ensure your head and extremities are covered. Reduce time outside and head indoors when you need to warm up.

On Wed. Nov. 19 there will be a test of the Alert Ready national alerting system. In Ontario, the alert will take place 12:55 PM. The alert go out over TV, radio and you may receive an emergency notification on your mobile device. Visit alertready.ca for more info.

Springwater Fire

Tonight crews from @SpringwaterFIRE @WasagaBeachFire battled a large field fire on Cty Rd 92 and Vigo Rd. Fire crews set up to protected a farm and residential homes as fire was fast moving toward them. No injuries and no properties damaged. Cause of fire was from combine.
