Once a Cabinet Secretary starts calling himself a whistleblower, just know the exit door is somewhere nearby.
That is the stage Wandayi is now entering. We have seen this script before in Kenya. During the NYS saga, Anne Waiguru also leaned on that whistleblower angle when the pressure became too much. By that point, the politics had already turned, the public had already formed its view, and the resignation was only a matter of time.
That is why this “I am the one exposing it” routine never comforts the public. In Kenya, it is usually the final costume in the scandal wardrobe.
First, you are in charge, then you say there is no problem, then you say cartels are fighting back, then you blame disinformation, then, when the fire reaches your seat, you suddenly become a whistleblower.
A real whistleblower is usually outside the comfort of power, not seated at the top of the docket signing press releases and issuing directions on the very mess under investigation.
So when Wandayi now starts sounding less like the Energy CS and more like a heroic informer, that is not a sign of strength.
In Kenyan politics, that is usually the sound of a man nearing the end. Once you start calling yourself a whistleblower from inside the centre of the scandal, you are not surviving but on your way out.

The @IMFNews cannot run away from Sh13 trillion allegedly borrowed by Kenya, and which is at the heart of a court case questioning how the money was spent.
IMMUNITY granted to the global lender DOES NOT extend to an ILLEGALITY or a crime committed ON Kenyan soil. #DeniBandia #OdiousDebt #ReKe

CS Opiyo Wandayi's core responsibility is to develop, implement, review and enforce policies in the Ministry of Energy & Petroleum.
He is the leader, reporting directly to the President.
He knew or aught to have known the diversion of condemned fuel worth Sh 4billion, by those 3 thieves, into the Kenyan market
If he knew he must be arrested immediately for criminal culpability.
If he didn't know he must immediately take political responsibility and resign or be sacked for cross incompetence.
If the President fails to sack him because of shenanigans of broad-based government, the National Assembly must then exercise its constitutional mandate and impeach him

I don't know if masomo ya Kenya is lenient or these people are just academic terrorists!
50 questions, 30mrks?
Talking of terrorism, oya, Al Shabaab,
1. Gachagua cannot be broke. He began eating as Moi's NIS at UoN. Before akuwe DO, PA wa Uhuru, MP and DP
He is not CS health, face your incompetence fair and square
2. It is your blood brother you are using to milk SHA through the Medina chain of hospitals
Yeah, the same one who was supplying Kenyans with expired drugs
3. If teachers are being murdered in North Eastern in the name of zoning,
Why the hell are you squeezing your clansman into Jaramogi Hospital Board? Watu wa Nyanza or Western hawako?
Rais comes and sings in Nyanza for one week na positions zinapewa wariah? Then ni kura gani anataka from Luos?

MP Peter Salasya: I was punished and removed from key committees for not voting for Gachagua's impeachment and the Finance Bill and was thrown into catering things.
Political parties must stop interference with National Assembly affairs.

A woman crying outside the Machakos County offices.
Sammy Kioko is not the only one who has not been paid by the county government, there are many others.
Last month, a woman died by suicide after the Nairobi County Government failed to pay her for a tender she had been awarded.
People take loans to fulfill these tenders, and they incur interest. The longer the payments are delayed, the more the interest accumulates.
