What do we think about Mark Pope's quiet confidence in recruiting? This is from his radio program last night: “I’m limited in what I can say in recruiting. I don’t know if we’re ever gonna … listen, we’re really excited about where we are. Just hang in, guys. Hang in there with us. I think recruiting is gonna work out just great.” Does he have something cooking?

@KySportsRadio He has zero common sense, literally the definition of being too smart for his own good.

Never heard a Coach say before that they had to change an entire offense around whether the PG was left handed or not, but I guess that’s what happened

Curious where Kentucky fans stand after two years of Mark Pope. Sweet 16 last season, epic first-round win and second-round blowout loss this season. 1) Grade the Pope era so far. 2) What must happen next season to feel confident?

@JoshHennessy13 I agree. I wish I saw a path for us next year, but my negativity is largely because no recruits and looks like top guys don’t want to play for pope. The transfer portal will fix some issues but he has to get dawgs. Start with Stokes, get him, and I’ll see maybe a sliver of hope

Let’s be real. It took a miracle to beat SANTA CLARA. Pope is getting blown out regularly in big games. Next year is a wasted year with him. How many times do we have to get destroyed to see the writing on the wall.

This team was ultimately poorly constructed with pieces that didn’t really fit Pope’s system. And honestly I don’t think Pope did a great job with the group he had. Pope never found a consistent style of play and went through too many stretches where he was out coached

Ultimately a disappointing season…so many expectations but just couldn’t match them most of the year A few very good wins and a great March memory with the Oweh shot but in the end a year most UK fans will consider a disappointment

Pope has coached 11 years. 9 of those, he has double digit losses. He is average. At Kentucky, you cannot be average.

Usually initial reactions are the right ones. Remember when we hired Pope, the fanbase was livid. Then he sold us with big words. Our initial reaction was right. #BBN
