I never get this particular argument against VAR. It was chaos around me in Stretty when that went in - no one was stood fretting about checks straight away.
Unless it’s immediately clear & blatantly getting ruled out, fans in the stands celebrate twice when VAR gets involved 🤷🏻♂️

As amazing as this was, one of my overriding memories of this goal was how this moment was immediately ruined by the fear of VAR ruling it out for some microscopic infraction. By the time you have the confidence to celebrate, the moment is gone. Fuck VAR

@UnitedFancast I do think people exaggerate how much it affects celebrating though. The limbs suggest that very few were holding back out of worry that VAR will ruin it…
