🇳🇱 And we soon landed in Amsterdam. All in all, the A321neo stands out, not only in business class. Something to improve here and there, but nothing is perfect. A refreshing experience after the mediocre A320neo flight from Catania. And you can read more soon at @airwaysmagazine!

🍴 Alitalia branded cutlery, but a nice and very Italian (in a way) breakfast service. Light, healthy and tasty, I wouldn't have traded this for pastries. I had a couple of coffees to prepare for the long day ahead.

☁️ Airborne, heading north through the clouds. No Alps view today, just an endless white sheet.

🕹️ Impressive IFE selection, however the remote was malfunctioning. Ok priced WiFi which worked fine for messaging. The IFE is perhaps too far from the seat to be operated as a touchscreen and does not tilt.

⏰ We pushed back slightly behind schedule due to airspace restrictions in Amsterdam. The seat configuration means it's far easier to look outside than similar non-reverse herringbone products installed on some other A321neos. It also guarantees more privacy.

😕 The seat was however rather covered in stains, with crumbs and dirt all over the place too.

🖥️ Seat 5F, reverse herringbone towards the back of the 12 seat cabin. The front row comes with even more space, not that it'd ever be needed on this flight. Modern seat, large Airbus Airspace bin above, storage behind the IFE, not a bad first impression.

✈️ A few weeks ago I flew Italy's (and probably Europe's) most "premium" narrowbody, the A321neo, from Rome to Amsterdam. Here's a not-so-short thread with all the details, because I don't like clickbaiting people :)

The second block of shares (49%) is it be acquired for 325 million euros. Only a bunch of independent airlines remain in Europe, in an era where market consolation is just a matter of time.

🥀 What Italian politics has been trying to delay for decades has finally happened. The LH Group, as widely anticipated, today has announced it will take control of a 90% majority stake in the Italian flag carrier.

Demand to Australia has been strong thanks to MH connectivity at KUL, however, Oman Air’s agreement with QF is delayed as QF has already partnered with Emirates (EK) in the region, posing some challenges.

🔴 Oman Air is targeting new code-share agreements in 2026 with several oneworld alliance airlines. These include AY, CX, JL and QF, with AA expected at a later stage.
