I love a novel in upper grades. This is a great list! I’m saving it as reference for my two oldest children. They’ve read lots of these already!

In grades 3-5, I really think the whole class novel should be a focal point of the ELA curricula. We should be looking at what books each use. A fifth grade 🧵 Here are the novels in Reading Reconsidered from the Knowledge Matters Website. Hard to argue against this selection.

Guess who knew we were “Sold a Story” before “Sold a Story”? This book, by my co-host @FaithBorkowsky, is incredible. As I turned each page, it was bone chilling. It reminded me of so many of the things that I was experiencing in the trenches as well. @FaithBorkowsky
