Last night I watched the first ep of #TheBeauty on @DisneyPlus (via FX) with Evan Peters. All the elements of a Ryan Murphy show. The TV version of #TheSubstance film but good looks come from a sex virus rather than a clone after taking a drug. Pacing’s off + dodgy accents! 7/10

Last night I watched the first ep of the return of #Scrubs on @DisneyPlus (via @hulu) with Zach Braff. 16 years on it’s nice to hear the #Superman theme tune again. Everyone’s back at Sacred Heart (except Bob) & despite all looking older, the show’s the same minus the zing! 7/10

Last night I watched the first ep of #WonderMan on @DisneyPlus with Yahya Abdul-Mateen II. Secret superhero Simon Williams wants to nab a role in the Wonder Man remake next to the Mandarin from Iron Man 3 aka Ben Kingsley. More @Marvel meta like #Wandavision & a total treat! 8/10

Last night I watched the first ep of #TheOtherBennettSister on @BBCOne with Ruth Jones/Richard E Grant. If Lady Featherington in #Bridgerton had five daughters to try + marry off but not as wow. Pride & Prejudice from Mary’s POV. I struggle with period & this one’s too cosy! 7/10

Last night I watched the first ep of #TheCapture on @BBCOne with Holliday Grainger. All are back for series 3 (some for less time than others) & ‘correction’ rears its ugly head leading to an assassination. Ahead of its time in 2019, now with AI even scarier. Great thriller! 8/10

Last night I watched the first ep of #TheClaudiaWinklemanShow on @BBCOne to fill the Graham Norton hole (made by his company). 1st teal sofa: Goldblum, Saunders, Williams (Vanessa) & Allen (Tom). Feels like an informal chat with the audience close. Needs sone work but fun! 8/10

Last night I watched the first ep of #TheFallAndRiseOfReggieDinkins on @peacock with Tracy Morgan. An NFL star cut down by a gambling scandal wants to rewrite history hiring Daniel Radcliffe to make a doc (+ his son & ex-wife/agent). Fast-paced like #30Rock but hit ‘n’ miss! 7/10

Last night I watched #LouisTheroux #InsideTheManosphere on @NetflixUK (1st doc for them). Very now, v disturbing & v sad seeing young men idolising radical creators. Learned about the #redpill & one gf makes me think some is just an act for clicks. Still a master of silence! 8/10

Last night I watched the first ep of #AWomanOfSubstance on @Channe4 with Brenda Blethyn: the 2nd adaptation of the BTB novel that sold 30M copies. A cast-out maid gets revenge by ending ip the world’s richest businesswoman, only to have her family betray her as she turns 80! 7/10

Last night I watched the first ep of #HowToGetToHeavenFromBelfast on @NetflixUK from Lisa McGee. If the #DerryGirls had grown up & the one that left the chat died (or did she). The energy of the @Channel4 show with a playlist shifted forward a decade. With a hot mechanic/PC! 8/10

Last night I watched the first ep of #Rooster on @skytv with the always wonderful Steve Carell. He’s an author reading his latest on college campus where his daughter teaches & is going through a messy break-up (left for a student). Sharp script & book burning proves deadly! 8/10

Last night I watched the first ep of #Gone on @ITV with Eve Myles. David Morrissey is the shouty headmaster whose wife disappears as his focus turns to the first XV rugby results (the police are naturally suspicious). He’s cold & distant cracking only when a jacket turns up! 8/10

Last night I watched the first ep of #TedSeason2 on @skytv (via @peacock) with Seth McFarlane. Set pre-films & if #familyguy were live action + a number of #theorville cast were available. The filth’s back as John & #Ted rack up a $5000 phone bill calling adult phone lines! 8/10

Last night I watched the first ep of #BlueTherapy on @NetflixUK with Karen Doherty & seven couples. Not sure what the ‘blue’ part is but the therapist stress-tests the relationships where, surprise surprise, communication is always missing. Sneaky vasectomy? We need to talk! 7/10

Last night I watched the first ep of #RealityCheck #americasnexttopmodel on @NetflixUK with most of the team (even Tyra Banks). Never watched the show but now know where so many memes originated. Shocking shoots, look-away dentistry, intrusive camerawork & only 20 years ago! 7/10

Last night I watched the first three eps of #FamilyGuy on @DisneyPlus back for season 24. After a couple of specials the Griffins return with weed gummies, pumpkin spice lattes & Peter exploring his gay side on Fire Island. Edgy as ever with jokes feeling even more current! 8/10

Last night I watched the first ep of #BeingGordonRamsay on @NetflixUK with the Ramsays. It’s a year with Gordon ahead of his massive development atop 22 Bishopsgate. Always feels like you’re getting a character until a prang taking Tilly to get chef whites. + Tana’s a star! 7/10

Last night I watched the first ep of #Handcuffed on @Channel4 with Jonathan Ross. Another ‘social experiment’ that’s a reality show for £100K. A new take on #WifeSwap as 9 pairs of opposites (like toff & prison officer who last 12h47m) are shackled together. Very noughties! 7/10

Last night I watched the first ep of #DTFStLouis on @skytv (via @HBO) with Jason Bateman. Odd hearing guys talk about extra-marital dating apps like they’re alien (one’s David Harbour) but he turns up dead at a pool with a gay porn mag. Quirky whodunnit missing some oomph! 7/10

Last night I watched the 46th #BRITAwards on @ITV with the incredibly funny Jack Whitehall from Manchester. The best #BRITs in a while with great performances (Harry Styles/K-Pop Demon Hunters/Rosalia), a stunning trophy & Queen of the #BritAwards2026 was Olivia Dean with 4! 8/10
