@tehTrunk This is a good listen but disagree with some of it. For example I don’t think players see Spurs as a ‘stepping stone’ anymore. That would be fine if so. They see it as a big name club where you can settle into mediocrity.

The latest episode of Stadio podcast about Spurs’ mess absolutely nails it. Great to hear non-Spurs affiliated media constructively pick the chaos apart without the tired ‘Spursy’ etc crap you get from most of the others.

Fans can’t win either way. If the atmosphere was as flat as a witches tit like it normally is, it would have been the fans fault for not backing the team. I can see it now - “How are the players expected to perform when the fans are as quiet as that?”. Boring tbh. #COYS

Moaning about refs and VAR is so so boring but unfortunately it’s been really effective for the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal. They definitely get more favourable decisions in the edge cases now.

@gamray I think the general transfer strategy is ‘okay’ and we’ve been a bit unlucky none of them have got anywhere near their ceiling. The bigger problem is that we don’t bin them off when they’re clearly not good enough. Like why on earth is Richarlison still here?

We’re in this weird twilight zone in terms of recruitment and we’d be better off swimming in the Bournemouth pool

Becoming really obvious too that spending big money (particularly on premier league players) is just a terrible idea for us. The big clubs aren’t going to allow us to get anyone really good - there’s a reason they don’t sign Kudus and Solanke and Simons.
