It should come as no great surprise that a Democratic Party which has abandoned working class people would find that the working class has abandoned them. While the Democratic leadership defends the status quo, the American people are angry and want change. And they’re right.

@OxIRandHistory I think Harris ran a competent campaign - but clearly competent wasn't enough. Running on a programme of "I'm not Trump and I have Liz Cheney to prove it" doesn't really swing the needle for a lot of voters concerned about the economy. Unfortunately the Dems don't have a FDR...

@simonlam98 If he is already the devil incarnate, it shouldn't take much to get you out to vote against him if you're even slightly inclined - and exit polls seem to suggest that all the demographics that Harris explicitly pitched for went for her. Was there not enough pitch to others?
