@lizaadamczewski I know right, proper mugged me off that bird. Walked to minsmere to see it so it flew to Dunwich. @janiep71 had an appointment so away we trudged only for it to fly right back where we were.

A seriously underrated bird ~ female Bullfinch. Wonderfully proportioned with a blush of rose over lilac on the underparts, dove-grey suffusion on the nape blending perfectly with the upper breast, soft grey-brown on the mantle with the smartest jet-toned judge's black cap...👌

The Pine Grosbeak invasion is gathering pace into southern Norway (and beyond?😉). Here a male from today. They only eat the seeds in the rowan berries and discard the flesh.
