I was planning to start my own blog for a while. Seems like the time is now.
Here is an overview of iOS Simulator plugins, and how to use simctl + dynamic libraries to inject custom code into Simulator.

SimPholders 3.0.7 is out! 🎉
simpholders.com/latest/
It’s notarized for macOS Catalina and resolves most of the issues with deactivated licenses.
NOTE: due to a license change we had to remove support for FUSE. We are currently evaluating options to bring it back or replace it.
@GeneCrucean This was a bug in an earlier version. Xcode 10 ist still supported. The issue is fixed in the latest version. You can install it from simpholders.com.
@simpholders app has just started blocking access saying trial period ended but I bought license long time ago. Also when trying to activate my license it throws an error. Any idea why?
@simpholders Installed XCode 11 beta side by side and all simulators disappeared from SimPholders. Tried a few things, but cannot return them there. Any suggestions? (inside old XCode everything is the same, Xamarin also has simulator issues)
@hfigor I assume you misunderstand something. There should be a menu bar status item in the upper right corner of your Desktop from which you can use the different commands. See this screenshot:
@katzenfreund You can achieve this as of today by saving and restoring the contents of your app’s sandbox. Later, we could add a menu item which lets you save a zip-compressed file and another one to restore this file.
