You can now get AirPods' best features on Android and Linux with this tool. It's called LibrePods. It reverse-engineers Apple's AACP protocol and spoofs the device ID Apple checks for, so Android and Linux unlock the same features an iPhone gets automatically. > Noise control, adaptive transparency, and battery status > Ear detection for auto play and pause > Some features need root on Android, no root required on Linux 100% Free. Open Source.

Kimi K3 is having a moment right now. And there’s a free CLI that runs it, open source, from the same team. It’s called Kimi Code CLI. Open source, maintained by Moonshot, the same lab behind K3. It does a few things Claude Code doesn’t. Drop a screen recording straight into the chat as input. MCP servers get configured conversationally through /mcp-config instead of hand-editing JSON. Built-in coder, explore, and plan subagents each run in their own isolated context, so the main conversation stays clean. It speaks the Agent Client Protocol, so Zed and JetBrains can drive a session directly. Setup is three steps: - Run the install script: curl -LsSf code.kimi.com/install.sh | bash - Start it with kimi - Log in with /login and you’re in The CLI costs nothing. K3 behind it starts at $3 per million input tokens, a fraction of what Claude and GPT charge for comparable performance.

I just built my second brain with Hermes Agent. It remembers people, companies, projects, and decisions. It pulls from meeting notes, docs, anything I feed it, and cites the source every time. It's this repo called Gbrain, open-sourced by Y Combinator president Garry Tan. install it by pasting this into Hermes:
"Install Gbrain following the instructions at github.com/garrytan/gbrain. Set up the embedding provider, then run gbrain init and gbrain doctor to verify." Add the MCP server so Hermes can call it directly:
"Add the Gbrain MCP server and reload." The graph builds itself. Pattern matching on the people and companies already in your notes. 31 points more precise than plain vector search, by their own benchmark. The data from the video is made up so I could show you how it works. Hermes' memory remembers our conversations. Gbrain remembers my world. Open source. Runs local, no server, no Docker.

ANTHROPIC AND OPENAI BOTH MISSED THIS. Someone just open-sourced one SDK that gives AI agents a mouse, keyboard, and screen across macOS, Linux, and Windows. It's called CUA. Same code drives a local VM or a cloud sandbox regardless of the OS. Your agent sees the screen, clicks, types, and runs shell commands like a real user. > Benchmark against OSWorld and ScreenSpot > Export trajectories for model training > Near-native performance on Apple Silicon No separate SDK per OS. No infrastructure headache. 100% Free. Open Source.

"Open-source models are worse" is officially over 🤯 I gave Kimi and GLM the exact same prompt on Hyperagent: design a 3D interactive website. One shot each, no retries. → Both models: open weights, free to download → Both cost a fraction of the closed labs → Both shipped a working 3D build from a single prompt The full prompt is below so you can run it and compare the results. Open-source has caught up to the frontier. #hyperagentpartner

You can now orchestrate Fable 5, Sol, and any model inside Codex with one plugin. It's called Codex-Orchestration. Assign Fable 5 as the advisor, Sol as the executor, or any model to any role. Then define the order they work in. Codex handles the routing. I ran Fable 5 High as planner with GPT-5.6 Sol Extra High as executor on a set of issues Opus and GPT-5.5 always struggled with. Done in 30 minutes. 40% fewer limit hits. 2x faster implementation. Install it by pasting this into Codex: "Install Codex Orchestration:  codex plugin marketplace add Cjbuilds/Codex-Orchestration codex plugin add codex-orchestration@codex-orchestration  Verify the installation, then tell me to start a new task." Then assign your models:  @ codex-orchestration advisor:  Claude Fable 5 High, Executor: GPT-5.6 Sol High Open source. Tweak the routing however you want.
