@Oom_Rugby I had Nick Mallett sitting behind me in the Loftus press box for the Bulls-Stormers game and giving running commentary on everything. I told him all I had to do for our readers not to recognise my match report was to record him and transcribe...😂😂😂

very excited to be on this platform with these fantastic guys! I will be writing something every Tuesday if you want to read. But our first piece will be out later today. "How Modern Rugby Works" 👀
KickOff Online@KickOffMagazine

Oom Rugby signs for KickOff Rugby 🏉 KickOff Rugby is proud to welcome a fresh voice to its pages, one that blends sharp analysis with a distinctly South African flavour. Meet @Oom_Rugby as he joins KickOff’s Bomb Squad! If you’re looking for clichés and safe takes, you’re in the wrong place. But if you want to understand why teams win, how the modern game is evolving, and what actually matters between the lines, then pull up a chair. Because Oom is here to talk all things rugby. Having reported on more than enough doping stories in my career, think the story today was a bit of clickbait. Rugby players are tested at senior level, always at test level and those found guilty are prosecuted. Problem is currently with the WADA lab accreditation I believe, otherwise there would be much more testing done. So its a bit disingenious to suggest the Boks won their WCs because of doping, as they are tested consistently before and during the tournament. I'm not saying there isn't a player taking a chance here or there, but article makes the suggestion through inference that lack of testing means more doping, which certainly isn't the case. To me, SA at senior level doesnt have more doping issues than any other rugby country. At schoolboy level there is a problem, but that is everywhere and it isn't regulated by SA Rugby.

Being allowed to call a mark on the 10m line is as wild as opting for a scrum from it...

Playing the New Zealand national anthem in fast forward is absolutely scandalous considering it’s a World Cup game. However its also hilarious watching the players trying to not laugh 😂 #engvnz #cricket #anthem #newzealand

I'll never understand sports fans' obsession with sacking coaches and dropping players. If that whole fire everyone approach was applied to me, I suspect I'd be unemployable by now from being fired for every mistake I've made...

The game may have been a thriller but from a cricketing perspective both teams will reflect on missed opportunities. SA & Afg each had the match in their grasp before it slipped. That’s what pressure does,it tests decision making, skill execution, and composure in the big moments.
