@nicole_clash@im_roy_lee This is just cope for not having social awareness. You are not the same person around your parents as you are with your best friend. Doesn’t make either of those any less “you”.
The current state of consumer software rewards vanity metrics and annual plans.
Fuck Higgsfield.
It’s time to bring back true taste and optimizing for user experience.
@nicole_clash@im_roy_lee Sure, but my points were not specific to this product or this video from you. It’s a general theme from seeing your content.
Again just a suggestion.
It’s not though. This is by no means the big project I’ve been talking about. I had this tool around, I use it a ton, I love it, figured I might as well launch it. I did not blow through my entire savings to build this lmfao, shit took me a couple days and like 10% of my Codex rate limits to adapt it for public use.
Sure I did plan on blowing more money on ads but unfortunately X blocked it. So I’m actually quite chilling financially, and have over $100k in AI credits for whatever I want to build.
I’ll do what I can to advertise it, because like I said it’s a genuinely good tool, but like I also said, if I truly wanted to profit max I would not a pay as you go model, I’d opt into subscription like every other person trying to vanity metric investors.
@nicole_clash@im_roy_lee I think the linked tweet is a testament to what I said. In 8 years you have similar immature mannerisms.
“Look at what I did to Riot after they fired me”. This just makes you come off as spiteful.
If this really is your last runway, then shouldn’t you maximize your chances?
I have an immense amount of respect for @im_roy_lee don’t get me wrong. But I’m not gonna stop being my authentic self just because it might limit certain things, or because it’s “been done already”. Look at what I did to Riot after they fired me, for example.

@since12189@alphajeff20@montecarlo51362@Bozolicious69 don't think i ever said that lol. and i don't think i ever said anything against FAIR wages, which is what capitalism does not guarantee but in fact restricts. you gave me a hypothetical in which it was vital that workers must work this specific job.
@tiffanyyzhao@alphajeff20@montecarlo51362@Bozolicious69 Same as your assumption that all 100 will be willing to work regardless of salary. Both of us are assuming. The only way to minimize the assumptions is to provide a hard incentive for people to do these jobs. We call it wages!
@tiffanyyzhao@alphajeff20@montecarlo51362@Bozolicious69 Many were firefighters, many were ignorant of the danger that the radiant presented, there were many factors here now that I look into it.
Regardless, perishing is not the only form of sacrifice lol.
@since12189@alphajeff20@montecarlo51362@Bozolicious69 did i ever say they weren't compensated? i'd hope they would be?? 😭 i said monetary incentive wasn't what motivated them.
and an undesirable job is subjective and when you say sacrifice yourselves you’re implying every person who works sanitation has now perished or something
@tiffanyyzhao@alphajeff20@montecarlo51362@Bozolicious69 I am not saying “easy” as easy to do, I am saying easy as in it requires the same experience and certifications as a car mechanic.
But it pays so much more, solely because its objectively a less desirable job.
@since12189@alphajeff20@montecarlo51362@Bozolicious69 which is not that high anyways. oil rig / sanitation isn’t necessarily something you go to for "easy money" which is kinda what you're arguing. why would people subject themselves to a dangerous job is not for the money while simultaneously knowing that money isn’t easy to make?
@tiffanyyzhao@alphajeff20@montecarlo51362@Bozolicious69 “Oil rig / sanitation isn’t necessarily something you go to for "easy money" which is kinda what you're arguing.”
Not trying to insult you, but you are very, very sheltered. You simply don’t have the life experience to understand how wrong this statement is.
@tiffanyyzhao@alphajeff20@montecarlo51362@Bozolicious69 My worldview banks on the fact that in a random sample of 100 sewage plant workers, maybe 5 would do it if the pay was bad. I mean it’s astounding you don’t get it, the whole reason they are paid so much for how little prerequisites they have is because of this very disparity.
@since12189@alphajeff20@montecarlo51362@Bozolicious69 doesn’t matter if it worked it matters that people were willing to do it in the first place without knowing if it would work or not. your worldview banks on how every single sanitation worker absolutely hates their job and would not do it if not for the salary —
@tiffanyyzhao@alphajeff20@montecarlo51362@Bozolicious69 Firstly, just did some research, Chernobyl volunteers were paid pretty substantially for their work. lol.
Secondly, yes, my ideology hinges on giving an incentive for people to do undesirable jobs, and not just hoping they will sacrifice themselves.
@since12189@alphajeff20@montecarlo51362@Bozolicious69 i think what you're actually saying is that YOU wouldn’t work one of those jobs hence why you don’t see a reason why someone else would. your ideology hinges on the world revolving around yourself.
@tiffanyyzhao@alphajeff20@montecarlo51362@Bozolicious69 For every example of where heroism and patriotism worked, there are 20 examples where it didn’t.
Again, just because it happened once, doesn’t mean it will happen consistently. Your worldview banks on this hope that it will happen consistently.
@since12189@alphajeff20@montecarlo51362@Bozolicious69 by your worldview chernobyl should be impossible! but amazing what people can do when faced with the prospect of enacting good! hence why intrinsic motivation is more effective.
@tiffanyyzhao@alphajeff20@montecarlo51362@Bozolicious69 I never said there won’t be workers. I clearly expressed that the issue is that there is no reason a worker would choose to do an undesirable job. Are you going to be working at a sewage plant? Your ideology hinges on enough people making this sacrifice, with no compensation.
@since12189@alphajeff20@montecarlo51362@Bozolicious69 what specifically about communism makes it so there will be no workers left to do these jobs? those jobs are valuable to society, hence why people work them. i would actually say people would be more inclined to work those jobs knowing they wouldn’t be exploited
@tiffanyyzhao@alphajeff20@montecarlo51362@Bozolicious69 Its very heroic and praiseworthy, but again refer to point 1.
I agree monetary incentive is only valuable if you are in a monetary system, obviously. But what is the incentive then? Again it just sounds like you *hope* people will make the sacrifices and perform these jobs lol.
@since12189@alphajeff20@montecarlo51362@Bozolicious69 i would hardly say facing extreme radiation to preform a task that could literally end the world is not something relatively easy. and monetary incentive is only valuable if you must rely on an income for basic necessities
@tiffanyyzhao@alphajeff20@montecarlo51362@Bozolicious69 2 things here.
1. Just because people acted heroic once, does not imply people will ALWAYS, or even consistently act in this way.
2. It is a lot easier to perform for the common good once, versus doing it for your whole life as a job, without extra compensation.
@tiffanyyzhao@alphajeff20@montecarlo51362@Bozolicious69 Generally, you ask someone to steel man their opponents position to see if they are arguing in good faith. You didn’t steel man, you just repeated your own argument. By the way, that is NOT the reason a CEO makes so much more relative to their workers under capitalism.
@since12189@alphajeff20@montecarlo51362@Bozolicious69 because the CEO (bourgeois class) owns the capital/means of production produced by the labourer (proletariat) or in simple words, exploitation? 😭 again what does this have to do with anything
@tiffanyyzhao@alphajeff20@montecarlo51362@Bozolicious69 Again, never said that. All I asked is, if you had a population of 100 people, needed 10 sanitation workers, but 0 people wanted to be a sanitation worker, how is this resolved under communism? These jobs carry inherent risk by the way, it’s not a capitalistic effect.
@since12189@alphajeff20@montecarlo51362@Bozolicious69 bro wtf do u think communism is 😭 like genuinely do you think the entire labour force will cease to exist once we guarantee welfare or something. harmful working conditions is something capitalism creates and something socialist policy has tried to solve
