Roblox is pushing this update to force more users onto its webcam and face-tracking tech so it can be sold as a flashy feature for investors “Look how expressive Roblox is, your real-life smile shows up in game!!” Barely anyone uses this feature, and in a sense making everyone on this new standard will make more people use it. Even if this isn’t about investors like you said, the only other explanation is worse. Roblox wants to abandon its own history and identity for no reason at all

I feel like people throw around the "they do this for investors" thing too much. Investors don't really seem to care about anything other than AI right now. Has anyone ever considered that maybe companies sometimes have other reasons for making changes people disagree with? 🤷‍♂️

I am becoming progressively more worried for our humanity due to extensively terrifying improvements to AI generated content media. From blatant misinformation to even the recent commercial adaptations of AI (acquisition of Suno into the music industry) WHICH NOBODY NEEDS. We need artists to thrive - not feel discouraged. Please be weary with what you see or hear online, contemporary media feels like nothing is real anymore. AI sucks and we need to stand up against it.

@LoganPa76816816 I had several inspirations, including incidents from my life and from the lives of people I knew, books I've read, posts online I've seen, documentaries I've watched... the list goes on. Drawing inspiration from several sources is how you produce interesting things!

I love these kinds of posts! You'd think that after seeing them on a semi-regular basis I would've gotten used to the acclaim, but every time one crosses my feed, I smile like it's the first time someone's praised my writing 😁
