I met Tahir in 2004. I was only journalist to have met him then. What a soul. His depart should compel us to introspect. He facilitated my journey from Bafaliaz in Surankote to Hill Kaka to see the then state of affairs. Anyone who knows his family do let me know.

Tahir, a true Kashmir, who fought against Pak sponsored terrorist in and around Hill Kaka is gone. But he left an indelible mark not only on me but scores of other fighting against terrorists. Despite doing so much for the country he died as a labourer in Himachal Pradesh. Naman
