I strongly believe that numbers of engineers needed will increase.
With AI-driven coding, everyone would vibe code, marketers, sales people, HR, Ops etc. we'd need more engineering power to maintain all the vibe code(s) generated from all such departments.

@SoccerGuyUS TBH I don't let Claude touch my code anymore.
I've been using 4.7 to talk through ideas in the Claude desktop app but then all planning and execution moves to Codex post spec.

I’ve officially cancelled both Claude Max plans and have 2 x Codex Max plans.
Codex - particular GPT5.5 is the best coding model.

People building a company prefer High impact, motivated & self driven people who can drive the strategies into action, execute the ideas, deliver.
Past few years I've had several failures especially in hiring the right type of people.

If you are running your services only on tools like @claudeai @AnthropicAI , NOW you have to re-think that strategy.
You could very easily be locked out, and if you are serving customers, a higher churn rate is what you would be addressing next.

Anthropic decidió dar de baja a toda nuestra organización por una supuesta infracción de sus condiciones de uso. Qué política específica infringimos no tengo ni la menor idea: simplemente recibimos un mail y listo, adiós Claude. Si querés apelar la medida hay que completar un Google Form, así de ridículo como suena. De golpe más de 60 personas se quedaron sin una herramienta fundamental para trabajar. Integraciones, skills, historial de conversaciones: todo perdido o, en el mejor de los casos, parado por tiempo indeterminado. Enorme aprendizaje para cualquier empresa de software que dependa de herramientas de IA en procesos críticos. Nunca hay que poner todos los huevos en una canasta.
